We had an overall nice stay at Kohala Suites, although we faced a few issues that detracted from our experience. The room was spacious and ideal for our family, and my kids absolutely loved the pool. However, we encountered problems with our room keys, a broken balcony lock, and a pesky smoke detector. Despite these inconveniences, I believe the accommodations would work well for larger families. I would consider returning if we were to visit again.

This resort has so much to offer. We loved the beautiful unit and the lagoon where we saw plenty of sea turtles. However, we did find the limited dining options during the day to be a bit frustrating, and the lack of beach access might be a downside for some. Overall, it provided a great vacation for our family.

We had a wonderful vacation with stunning sunset views from our lani, and our tour experience with Kailani Tours was absolutely exceptional. However, the swimming pools at Kohala Suites were quite small and chilly, which made it less enjoyable for swimming. Despite a few inconveniences like having to call for trash pickup, the staff were friendly, and the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Big Island.

We had an amazing time staying at Kohala Suites on the Big Island. The suite was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family, allowing us to cook our own meals and save on dining out. The location was peaceful and we enjoyed having access to the Hilton's amenities. However, the only downside was the room cleaning schedule, which was once a week – not ideal for a longer stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and great value for money.
