We had an overall nice stay at Kohala Suites, although we faced a few issues that detracted from our experience. The room was spacious and ideal for our family, and my kids absolutely loved the pool. However, we encountered problems with our room keys, a broken balcony lock, and a pesky smoke detector. Despite these inconveniences, I believe the accommodations would work well for larger families. I would consider returning if we were to visit again.

We had a wonderful vacation with stunning sunset views from our lani, and our tour experience with Kailani Tours was absolutely exceptional. However, the swimming pools at Kohala Suites were quite small and chilly, which made it less enjoyable for swimming. Despite a few inconveniences like having to call for trash pickup, the staff were friendly, and the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Big Island.
